Infographic

This week I dove deeper into the wicked problem of personalized learning. This week challenged my thinking. It also enabled me to see personalized learning through the opinions of others. This past week, I played different roles of people such as homeschool parents, innovative educators, and parents. While doing this activity, I had to consider how these people in those roles would view personalized learning. It was convenient to do this because it provided a diverse perspective on the wicked problem. In addition to doing this activity, I also considered those perspectives to create an infographic.
Below you will see my infographic I created for personalized learning as a wicked problem. My questions I believe strongly define this problem are: Why are teachers not using personalized learning?, Why are we still using standardized tests?, and Why is curriculum not changing with technology?. I feel these questions all pertain to why this problem is wicked and how it can help solve the issue at hand. Why are teachers not using personalized learning, is important because it explains the view of an educator? Why are we still using standardized tests, which seems to be a common viewpoint from parents (homeschooled as well)? And lastly, Why is curriculum not changing with technology I imagine an innovative educator would ask. These questions all play a role in uncovering why personalized learning is a wicked problem. I hope my infographic helps others put this wicked problem into context as well.
